Collection: Brass, Copper, Pewter & Metals

From the warm gleam of polished brass to the quiet gravity of aged pewter, decorative and functional metalwork represents some of the most enduring objects ever made by hand. This collection brings together pieces in brass, bronze, pewter, copper, and mixed metals sourced from estate sales, auction rooms, and private collections across Britain, Europe, and the Americas — each selected because age, craft, and character have combined to produce something worth preserving.

You will find candlesticks and chambersticks, inkwells, letter racks, trivets, horse brasses, tobacco boxes, measures, and objects whose purpose was once entirely practical and whose beauty crept up unannounced over a century or two. Pewter tankards and chargers. Bronze figurines and door furniture. Copper warmers and jugs worn smooth by decades of use. These are materials that improve with time rather than despite it, and we look for pieces where that time shows honestly.

We select for quality of casting or fabrication, integrity of form, and a patina that has been earned rather than applied. Damage is disclosed; repairs are noted. If a piece has a maker's mark, touch mark, or foundry stamp, we research and include it. If it does not, we say so.
