This is a vintage Wedgwood pale blue jasperware trumpet vase with a flower frog.

Jasperware was developed by Josiah Wedgwood in the late 18th century after decades of intense experimentation with stoneware bodies. The signature matte finish and contrasting white reliefs draw heavily on classical antiquity, reflecting the neoclassical tastes of the Georgian era. These decorative wares quickly became an international success and remained a staple of English ceramic production for generations. Bulb pots and trumpet vases with removable pierced lids, often called flower frogs, were especially popular for arranging cut stems during the Victorian and Edwardian periods. The intricate white sprigged reliefs, applied by hand to the dyed clay body, typically depicted mythological or classical scenes derived from antique cameos and sculpture. Wedgwood's ability to maintain exceptional detail and consistent coloring ensured their pieces remained coveted by collectors worldwide.
