This is a vintage three-piece silverplated tea set with engraved scroll ornamentation.
Silverplated tea sets became an essential element of middle-class dining and hospitality during the late Victorian and Edwardian eras. Manufacturers adopted electroplating techniques developed in the mid-19th century to produce durable table wares that offered the luxurious appearance of solid silver at a fraction of the cost. Engraved floral and scroll motifs, often executed by machine pantograph or hand-chasing, were widely applied to give these mass-produced vessels an artisanal appearance. Such sets were frequently given as wedding gifts or purchased for formal afternoon tea service, remaining popular household staples well into the twentieth century.
