Importers like Royal Sealy distributed large quantities of decorative teacups, saucers, and dinnerware sets featuring ornate luster glazes and hand-painted or transfer-printed floral motifs. These charming and affordable pieces were marketed widely through department stores and gift catalogs during the mid-20th century. The use of iridescent luster glazes, particularly in soft shades of yellow, pink, and turquoise, was a hallmark of Japanese export ceramics from this era, emulating the luxurious aesthetics of earlier European porcelain.
