History & Background
Lenox was founded in 1889 by Walter Scott Lenox in Trenton, New Jersey, and became America's first fine china manufacturer to achieve widespread recognition. In 1918, Lenox was chosen to produce the first American-made White House china service, cementing its prestige. Lenox coffee pots from the early to mid-20th century are recognized for their refined shapes and quality glazes. They are collected both as part of complete services and as standalone decorative pieces.
