This is a vintage KIG Indonesia pressed crystal glass diamond point dish.
The KIG (Kav Dana Industries) glassworks in Indonesia became a major producer of pressed and molded glassware during the latter half of the 20th century. Utilizing robust machinery and durable glass formulations, the factory turned out a vast array of tableware, ashtrays, and decorative bowls for export around the world. These items emulated traditional European heavy cut crystal styles at a fraction of the cost, making decorative pressed glass widely accessible for middle-class households. The diamond point and saw-tooth rim motifs seen on this piece were staple designs of the mid-to-late 20th century, offering sparkling refraction and satisfying heft. Such dishes were frequently given as promotional items, souvenirs, or purchased as functional everyday decor for smoking rooms and living spaces. Today, surviving examples from the Indonesian manufactory are appreciated as nostalgic mid-century functional objects with enduring decorative appeal.
