Ornate gilded decorative trinket box with hinged lid and finial, mid-20th century. This style of gilded box, with its scrolling motifs and decorative finial, draws on earlier Baroque and Rococo traditions — brought into the 20th century for the home décor market as an elegant vessel for jewelry, sewing notions, or small personal keepsakes.
Crafted with detailed surface embellishments typical of mid-century decorative ware, this piece adds a touch of opulence to any dressing table or display shelf.
This is a resin box with a gilded finish and shows some patina.
