The company established itself as a leader in American handmade glassware, particularly famous for creating vibrant opalescent and carnival glass pieces. Among Fenton's most iconic patterns is the hobnail design, characterized by rows of rounded raised bumps that catch and refract light brilliantly. Introduced in the mid-20th century, the amber glass variation—often referred to by collectors as 'amberina' or simply amber hobnail—gained immense popularity during the 1950s and 1960s.
